Is it really free?
Yes. Every tool is free to use as much as you like, with no trial, no watermark and no paid tier. What you make is yours to use, including commercially.
Do my files get uploaded?
No. The tools run inside your web browser, on your own device. Your data, files, logos and passwords are never sent to our server. You can check this for yourself: once a tool has loaded, it carries on working if you disconnect from the internet. See the privacy page for the details.
Do I need an account?
No. There's nothing to sign up for. Anything a tool remembers between visits (saved charts, recent QR codes, remembered signatures) is stored in your browser on that device only.
Which browsers work?
Up-to-date versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox, on computers, phones and tablets. A few extras depend on the browser: copying images to the clipboard needs a recent browser, and the QR code scan test only runs in Chrome on Android and Mac.
Where is my work saved?
The chart maker saves your charts in this browser automatically, and the map maker keeps your latest map. The QR code maker keeps the codes you've downloaded under Recent codes. The PDF toolkit, the image editor and the file converter keep nothing: download your files before closing the tab. Clearing your browser's site data, using a private window, or (in Safari) not visiting for 7 days removes anything saved, so download anything you want to keep.
Can I use the tools offline?
Once a tool has loaded you can keep working without a connection. Opening a tool needs one, and the PDF toolkit occasionally fetches an extra font file for unusual PDFs, which needs a connection too. The image editor downloads its background-removal model the first time you use it, and the file converter downloads the parts it needs (such as fonts for PDFs, or the MP3 encoder) the first time each is used.
